This blog is about the Boston School of Painting and the art of those studying and attempting to paint in this style--Including me! The Boston School is the longest continuing tradition of painting in American art. Its roots go back to R. H. Gammell, Edmund Tarbell, William McGregor Paxton, Jean-Leon Gerome, Paul Delaroche, and Jacques Louis David.

About Me

Sandra Galda: I created this blog in 2011 as a site to celebrate and promote "The Boston School" style of painting and its related artists, past and present. I founded the first art renewal approved atelier that took place in a High School during regular school days. I trained 6 years as a student of Paul Ingbretson at his studio. My education is: B.S. in Graphic Design from SUNY at Buffalo and a Master of Liberal Arts degree in 2008 (concentrated in Art History), from Harvard University.
